One of the year’s most sublime successes has been that of Jason Sudeikis as the title character in Apple TV+’s endearing comedy “Ted Lasso,” the second season of which starts July 23. Though similar in execution to other cable comedies that are built around a singular character and blend humor with pathos in equal measure, “Ted Lasso” doesn’t have the biting edge of “Fleabag,” “Ramy” or “Atlanta.” But it does have Sudeikis as the American coach-out-of-water for an English soccer team, and that’s more than enough.
