OMG Festival: Outdoor Movies at the Gordy

Stages will screen a Shakespeare inspired cult classic film from the ’90s and early ’00s, plus lawn games, a bad sonnet competition, food trucks and local vendors. Festival activities begin at 6 p.m. Featured films include “10 Things I Hate About You,” “Deliver Us from Eva” and “The Lion King.”

The Houston Fire Museum: 9/11 Memorial

A historic piece of steel from the World Trade Center will be on display at The Houston Fire Museum for reflection and remembrance on the 20th anniversary of the terror attacks. There will be a poster exhibit from New York City’s National 9/11 Museum on display telling personal stories of witnesses and survivors through archival photographs.
