Long Live Montero: Lil Nas X is coming to Houston

The tour comes on the heels of Lil Nas X's 'Montero' album.

Lil Nas X has finally announced a Houston date as part of his Long Live Montero tour.

The superstar rapper and singer will perform Oct. 11 at 713 Music Hall. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday throughLive Nation.

The tour comes on the heels of Lil Nas X's "Montero" album. It has spawned hits in the title track, "Industry Baby" and "That's What I Want." Montero is Lil Nas X's real name.

Lil Nas X publicly revealed he was gay in 2019, one of the first singers to do so in the midst of massive mainstream success. He just earned the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Lil Nas X also recently called out his snub by the BET Awards.

"This not over no BET award. This is about the bigger problem of homophobia in the black community. Y'all can sit and pretend all u want but imma risk it all for us," he tweeted.

A new single with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, "Late To Da Party," is out Friday.
