SIEMPRE SELENA:Tejano icon Selena will drop two new albums featuring unreleased music

Gibson released her tenth album, "The Body Remembers," in August. It's her first collection of original material in 20 years and one of myfavorite albums of 2021. Across 15 songs, Gibson embraces adulthood and acknowledges the fizzy pop that made her a teen star.

Last year, she appeared in a musical episode of the Netflix series "Lucifer," playing a domineering mother who sings The Police's "Every Breath You Take" alongside the show's title character. Gibson also completed a role in the "The Class," a "Breakfast Club"-esque film about a group of high school seniors forced to spend a Saturday at school completing an exam. It stars Anthony Michael Hall and Charlie Gillespie.

Gibson was one of the biggest stars of the late '80s, enjoying a run of hits that included "Only in my Dreams" and "Electric Youth." Two of her ballads, "Foolish Beat" and "Lost in Your Eyes," went all the way to No. 1.
